Worn Copy is the most impressive physical release due to coming with hand written lyrics and a bunch of authentic photos/art from the era on the insert and sleeves. The colored vinyl looks just like the marble tortoiseshell stuff in the background of the album cover and most importantly, it sounds good! Ariel 'Pink' Rosenberg has been churning out tape after tape of warped pop hits since 1996. A recent batch of higher profile releases, jump-started by Animal Collective's Paw Tracks label, is just the tip of his R. Stevie Moore-inspired iceberg. Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti reimagines 70's AM radio through psychedelic vision goggles. Ariel Marcus Rosenberg (/ ˈ ɑːr i ɛ l / AR-ee-el; born June 24, 1978), also known as Ariel Pink, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter whose work draws heavily from 1970s–1980s pop radio. His lo-fi aesthetic and home-recorded albums proved influential to many indie musicians starting in the late 2000s. He is frequently cited as 'godfather' of the hypnagogic pop and chillwave. Worn Copy is the history of popular music as revealed through the eyes and ears of Ariel Pink. It’s an impassioned combinatory view of popular and unpopular culture that takes in everything from The Cure, R. Stevie Moore and Amon Duul to forgotten episodes of The Gong Show, It's Your Move, and What's Happening?
Worn Copy is the seventh studio album by the American recording artist Ariel Pink, under his 'Haunted Graffiti' musical project. It is the eighth release in the eponymous series of works and was released on the label, Rhystop, in 2003.
